NOW Get Fit Immersion Recap & Giveaway

Disclosure: This post is a recap of a sponsored trip to the Now Foods facility. As always, I only align myself with companies and products that are in line with my values and all opinions are my own.

Knowing baby would be really young this May, I had planned ahead that he and Tim would travel with me to two of my favorite conferences: SCAN Symposium and Today’s Dietitian. However, when Cooper decided to arrive late, I made the decision to skip SCAN (for the first time in 5 years) in Keystone, CO since he’d only be 7 weeks at the time. I also made the last minute decision to skip Today’s Dietitian Symposium in Austin {hard call, love that city} because my new gig with the Phillies organization plus some family stuff this month had me ov-er-whelmed.

With clear FOMO watching these symposiums and seeing my RD friends attend them on social media, it’s easy to feel a bit out of the loop and alone, even though I’m home with my awesome baby. Well, the opportunity to travel for just about 36 hours outside of Chicago was the perfect treat to get my fix of learning and networking, while not feeling too bad about leaving the little guy behind. Leaving Cooperman, buddy-boy, angel baby Jones was NOT easy. As I left him with my mom and dad to head to the airport I was a crying mess, but once I got to the NOW Immersion, I remembered how much I love my job in the wellness industry and my passion for optimally fueling and supporting other’s bodies and minds was reinvigorated. Lucky for you, you get to enjoy a piece of my trip too, as I’m giving away all of the same products I received from NOW {see below to enter}.

What NOT to do in Rome

Remember that time I was recapping my Italy trip from January? I didn’t forget our last stop! Better late than never to share my experiences, right? Especially in a way that I think it can help others have a better initial impression of this city. Rome was the last city on our trip. While I grew to love it so much more than my first impression, as mentioned in my Florence post, I still wish we had traded out one night in Rome for another in Florence.

Miss my other Italy posts? Check out Milan, Venice and Florence!

Best of Florence for Foodies

Thanks for your patience on this post! I realize that while we are in winter coats in these photos, we have already seen 90+ degree temps this year, but better late than never, right?

Ah, Florence. This was hands down my favorite city we visited on the trip to Italia (you already know what Tim’s was). It’s somewhere I could see myself visiting for an extended period, and I would have even traded one of our night’s in Rome for another here. The beautiful and historic city sitting in the middle of gorgeous rolling hills here was just picture perfect no matter what your vantage point. Plus, I ate the best pizza I have ever had in my life and ate eggs I still think about some mornings, among many other amazing meals.

Top 10 things to Eat, See and Do in Venice!

Out of our whole trip to Italy, even in the winter, Tim’s favorite city was Venice. He says it just barely edged out Florence (my personal favorite), but future vacation homes may have been brought up by him in conversation. In this post I am going into all the details of our 2.5 days in this beautiful and unique city. While some on my list of 10 are an absolute must on anyone’s list, others are experiences we enjoyed. I also have some places to see that we missed out on… but that just means we have to go back again! Continue reading

Fitting Las Vegas into a Healthy Lifestyle

While I know many of my readers are waiting for the rest of my Italy recaps, I had to throw in a post on this past weekend’s very short trip to Las Vegas! Since it’s National Nutrition Month, and the theme is to Put Your Best Fork Forward, I really wanted to highlight that your social life is part of your health, and never something you should feel guilty about. 24 Hours in Milan

The posts you’ve all been waiting for are finally here! I am so excited to relive my trips through these posts that I will get right to it. Our trip began in Milan (after a long layover exploring Dusseldorf), and then we traveled to Venice, Florence, and Rome. I originally was only going to review the trip in two posts, but I ended up giving so much detail that I decided each city would get their own! There was so much to do, see and eat! I will post a review as well of our layovers in Dusseldorf and where to explore if you have a few hours to leave the airport.

If you’re torn about traveling to Italy in the winter months, don’t be. I highly recommend going right after Christmas though, so that you can enjoy all of the gorgeous decor! Continue reading

Super Bowl LI Recap

If you follow me at all on Instagram, you know that last weekend I had the amazing opportunity to head to Houston with my husband for Super Bowl weekend 2017! What an experience! #workperks #thanksRothman

We were traveling via the Philadelphia Eagles so, while I couldn’t be picky and choosy about my foodie Houston experiences, I can’t say I was disappointed!  I am also exciting to highlight that even when the food isn’t up to you and you are traveling, you can still enjoy yourself and get plenty of veggies in!
