Almond Hemp Energy Protein Balls

Necessary equipment:

Ingredients:

10 protein balls

  • 1 1/4 cup of almonds, crushed
  • 1/4 cup of hemp protein powder
  • 5 raw Medjool dates, pitted
  • 1 tablespoon of pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons of carob powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon of unsweetened almond milk, optional
  • 2 tablespoons hemp hearts

Instructions:

  1. Put the crushed almonds, hemp powder, Medjool dates, vanilla extract, carob powder, and Kosher salt in a food processor.
  2. Pulse for one minute or until you get a mixture that won’t stick to your hands. If the composition is too dry and rigid, add a tablespoon of almond milk.
  3. Use an ice cream scoop and get a spoonful of the mixture, then use your hands to form a ball.
  4. Coat each ball with the hemp hearts.
  5. Place the energy protein balls on wax paper and then place them in the fridge for at least 2 hours or overnight.

The best part of this recipe is that you only have to place it in the fridge (and not in a preheated oven) for at least 2 hours after you finish preparing it.
